Happy Deepavali...

Today was the Indian holiday, Deepavali, meaning good over evil. Terry was off work today along with everyone else in Singapore! We decided yesterday to go to Little India to see the festivities. There were lots and lots of shops lining the street selling mostly little trinkets and clothes. We didn't stay very long...so many people and not very stroller friendly. We want to go back soon to try out a few restaurants.

Today we went to the East Coast Park. This is a beach that is about 6 miles long. There is lots of sidewalks for walking, roller blading, or biking. It was a nice afternoon to go for a stroll along the beach. This area has great seafood restaurants so we stopped in at one for a local Singapore dish, "chili crab". It has great flavor but is pretty spicy! Terry loves it.

It is officially our rainy season...We are getting rain just about every day for a few hours. It is still in the high 80's and 90's here...it's this warm year round...very humid! We are a little jealous of you back home enjoying the nice and cool fall weather!
