Last night Terry and I had a date night. We found a babysitter, Stella, she is awesome. Kaitlyn really likes her. We went to a seafood restaurant that looks out over Marina Bay. It looks out over where they are building 1 of the casinos. Terry quickly counted about 76 cranes! It was an incredible sight. After dinner we went to the movies. It was nice to have an evening to ourselves. Kaitlyn did great and was sound asleep when we got home.
Today, we decided to see more of Singapore. We started off going to Sentosa Island. This time we went down by the beach. Kaitlyn had her 1st experience putting her toes in the sand and feeling the ocean waves. It was my first time to touch the South China Sea. The water was very warm. We also went to the southern most point of Continental Asia. We had to walk across a narrow suspension bridge. It was a tight squeeze with Kaitlyn's stroller. Next we went down to Raffles Place. There is another Merlion, mermaid/lion, which spouts out water into Marina Bay. From there we went to Boat Quay, which is old warehouses turned into restaurants. We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant then jumped on the subway and headed home.
Below are a few pictures of our day. Check our shutterfly pictures on the right for more. "Singapore Sights"
